All 14 staff members of Softbank Interactive Marketing's European division resigned on Feb. 27, following a series of upheavals including the sale of SIM's U.S. and international operations to U.S. investment company Zulu-tek in December, a failed management buyout in Europe, and the loss of its biggest European client, U.S. search engine AltaVista.
eToys seeks ad agencies for print, radio
eToys, Santa Monica, Calif., is talking with two to three ad agencies as it prepares to launch its first print and possibly radio advertising in the third quarter. Budget will be below $1 million in '98, expected to grow significantly next year. The online toy marketer (www.etoys.com) until now has only done online advertising, which it handles in-house.
Eddie Bauer names i-traffic AOR
Eddie Bauer Inc. named i-traffic, New York, agency of record for online advertising, alliances and customer acquisition. i-traffic, which specializes in online customer acquisition and electronic commerce brands, will develop beyond-the-banner campaigns to help drive traffic to Eddie Bauer's online store (www.eddiebauer.com).

Bloomberg, USA Today in deal for financial data
Bloomberg L.P. has cut a deal with USA Today that will put Bloomberg's financial data, quotes and portfolio information on a new co-branded USA Today Bloomberg Market Scoreboard on the USA Today Web site.
The area (markets.usatoday.com) launches next month as a site within a site on USA Today's Money home page. USA Today online editors also will be using Bloomberg News stories throughout the rest of the site.
