On March 19, Burger King Corp. kicks off its first meal promotion under its new "The Whopper Says" branding effort. The "Every Whopper Is A Winner" promotion, created by Interpublic Group of Cos. DraftWorldwide, Chicago, adds a choice of free a cheese or bacon sandwich topping, a slice of Hershey's Pie or a medium Frozen Coke with every Whopper sandwich or Whopper value meal purchase. The effort is backed by two 30-second TV spots called "She Digs Me" and "Hospital" from general market agency Interpublic's McCann-Erickson Worldwide, New York.
