Burnett adds Moscow operation

Published on .

Leo Burnett Co. has opened Leo Burnett & Moradpour in Moscow to serve international clients, including Philip Morris Cos. Other Burnett offices will be opened soon in the Ukrainian and Kazakhstan republics, said Reiner Erfert, vice chairman of Frankfurt-based Leo Burnett Europe. Later, Burnett will add offices in Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia, Mr. Erfert said. The agency already has offices in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland. Edouard Moradpour, 48, is managing director/partner of Leo Burnett & Moradpour. He worked for Burnett in Paris in 1977 and 1978 and moved to Carat Moscow--his previous job in Russia--in 1989. He estimates the Moscow agency's initial billings are $10 million, mostly from multinational clients. But he will also seek local business as well.
