Burnett creative exec moves to Tatham

Leo Burnett Co.'s No. 2 creative executive,Robert Welke, exec VP-chief creative officer, Leo Burnett USA, is moving across town to Euro RSCG Tatham in a yet-unannounced title to head up creative for that shop. His move ends speculation Mr. Welke was heir-apparent to Chairman-Chief Creative Officer Richard Fizdale. Michael Conrad, formerly No. 3 on the creative ladder, now is apparently next in line..

Mr. Conrad was one of three executives at Burnett moved to vice chairman; he is now vice chairman and co-chief creative officer, from group president-deputy chief creative officer. He will take on Mr. Welke's responsibilities and share chief creative duties with Mr. Fizdale, 57, who plans to retire at the end of 1997.Jim Jenness was promoted from group president-the Americas to vice chairman-chief operating officer. Roger Haupt was promoted from group president-chief financial officer to vice chairman-chief administrative officer.

In a major step up, Linda Wolf, 48, was promoted from exec VP-director of worldwide business development and client service director on Coca-Cola Co. and Walt Disney Co., to president of Leo Burnett USA and regional managing director for North America. She will continue to manage the Coca-Cola and Disney accounts but is expected to turn new business over to somebody else.

And Cheryl Berman, 43, moved up from exec VP-group creative director to deputy chief creative officer for Leo Burnett USA, reporting to Mr. Conrad.
