SYDNEY -- Leo Burnett Connaghan & May has netted the account for Microsoft's global online service, The Microsoft Network, in Australia.

The agency was appointed on its "ability to understand the unique issues involved and to work as part of the MSN team," says MSN Australia Marketing Director Jane McKellar. The brief is to create awareness of MSN among a broad target audience and to educate potential users about its facilities.

"This is a fantastic blue chip win, " says Rob Clarke, group general manager at LBC&M, which handles new media projects for clients such as United Distillers and Woolworths Supermarkets. "Combine Microsoft's name with a new vision of the Internet and you have a very exciting development in Australian media taking place."
