MINNEAPOLIS-Former Fallon McElligott Creative Director Pat Burnham has left as director at film production house Wilson Griak to start Burnham Films, an independent directing concern.

"I'm going out on my own. That's what I wanted to do last [May]," said Mr. Burnham, who joined Wilson Griak 21/2 months after leaving Fallon.

Mr. Burnham, 46, and Wilson Griak Exec VP Mike Monten termed the parting amicable. "Pat Burnham is going to be successful as a director. He just needed a different setting," Mr. Monten said.

Mr. Burnham said he will work with Coppos Films, Los Angeles, on a series of ads and may move his company to Los Angeles.
