Cause-related direct marketing and PR company Direct Impact Co., Washington, D.C., and $233 million global PR powerhouse Burson-Marsteller announced details of a global strategic alliance called Burson Direct that will marry the PR, direct marketing, and database marketing functions the two companies already share for five common clients. Direct Impact handles public awareness functions ranging from marketing to advocacy for clients in categories including healthcare, defense, entertainment and energy.
