Published on .

Lawrence Burstein is leaving as exec VP of Ziff-Davis at year end to pursue other interests. Mr. Burstein, former publishing director of Esquire, joined the tech publisher in June 1996 with a charge to build non-tech consumer advertising. Claude Sheer, president of the U.S. Publications Group, said Mr. Burstein's tenure "has been a great experience for Ziff-Davis" and that the company has made "great progress" under Mr. Burstein with consumer magazines. Chris Dobbrow moves up at ZD Publishing to exec VP from VP, adding responsibility for Computer Life and Equip.
