Beyond buys London Web shop

Beyond Interactive, Ann Arbor, Mich., acquired media 21, a London-based online media-planning and buying agency. Financial terms were not disclosed. The British agency will be renamed Beyond Interactive and will serve as the hub of Beyond's European operations, expected to expand to France and Germany later this year. Rick Sareen, co-founder of media 21, will head the European division as chairman. He will be based in London; he's also in charge of staffing the office with U.K.-based talent. Media 21's client base includes Virgin.net, Kitbag.com and 365 Corp.
