C/Net opens site on Web

Fledging computer cable TV network C/Net: The Computer Network, San Francisco, will open an ad-supported site on the World Wide Web on Saturday. The site will feature product reviews and advice, tech support services, bulletin boards and files of frequently asked questions about leading computer products. Advertisers include IBM Corp. and Apple Computer, two of C/Net's charter cable sponsors. C/Net launched its TV programming this spring on USA Network and Sci-Fi Channel; it will eventually be spun off.

Russia's Adventa link
Lintas Worldwide will announce this week an association with a new Russian partner, Adventa Advertising, a full-service Moscow agency started in November. Adventa's owner Dmitry Edneral, 26, will remain managing director. Adventa predicts $5 million in billings this year from such clients as Unilever, Shell and Mercedes-Benz.
