Cadillac drops Crawford spot

Supermodel Cindy Crawford's TV commercial for the Cadillac Catera has been taken off the air. A Cadillac spokesman said some women executives within General Motors Corp. and Cadillac were concerned the spot would offend women, a key target audience for the car. Ms. Crawford wears high leather boots and a short dress in the spot, which was shot to appear on the Super Bowl and has continued to air since then. Two new commercials for Catera break this week featuring the sedan's animated duck mascot. D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, Troy, Mich., handles.
