California state health officials unveiled six new anti-smoking TV spots, plus radio and outdoor work, from Asher/Gould Advertising, Los Angeles. The $13 million campaign is funded from state cigarette taxes. In one spot, a cancer sufferer addicted to cigarettes and whose larynx had been removed is shown smoking through a hole in her throat.
