Spanlink Communications, Minneapolis, introduced WebCall, software that allows Web users to place a call to a customer service number by clicking a logo on a Web page. Sites with WebCall connect a user to a customer service center, where intelligent agent software takes the user's number down and tells him how long before he'll get a callback - usually within seconds, Spanlink claims.

AT&T and Inacom are among the resellers that will market the software. Primary targets include financial service and retail customers.
