Calvin Klein, Warnaco reach settlement

Published on .

Calvin Klein Inc., and its chief licensee, Warnaco Group, announced they had settled suits against each other over Warnaco's licenses to produce Calvin Klein jeans and underwear. Calvin Klein initially filed a trademark infringement suit last May, charging Warnaco sold its products in unauthorized discount retailers and made changes in merchandising and products outside the licensing contract; Warnaco later counter-sued. Terms of the settlement, announced shortly before the start of jury selection, were not disclosed.
