Canada's 'National Post' recruits key marketer

TORONTO--Canada's National Post newspaper has broadened its marketing team with a new role for Garth Drabinsky, one of Canada's best-known entertainment-industry personalities.

Mr. Drabinsky now assumes the consulting role of senior advisor for marketing, public relations and promotions for the newspaper, where he oversaw the recent marketing campaign to relaunch the paper's "Saturday Night" magazine. National Post officials say Mr. Drabinsky will provide strategic leadership in marketing and work with senior executives on all of the paper's product lines.

Mr. Drabinsky's achievements in the past include founding cinema chain Cineplex Odeon Corp.
