TORONTO--The National Post
, Canada's nine-month old national daily, part of the Southam chain of newspapers, is taking itself out on a 10-week tour to celebrate The Best of Summer. National PostEditorial and photographic staff from the Toronto-based paper will stop in 11 cities, visiting summer festivals and events. They will then report on those events in two dedicated pages, turning part of the National Post
into a local paper. National PostPromotion for the tour will be in the National Post
as well as in local radio in each city that staff will visit. National PostRecent industry research shows that the National Post
continues to build readership across Canada, in competition particularly with the only other national newspaper, The Globe and Mail owned by Thomson Inc., also based in Toronto.
