Used-car dealers win one

Independent used-vehicle retailers provide used-vehicle buyers a more satisfying sales experience than the average new-vehicle retailer because consumers find the transaction moves quicker with less pressure, according to a study released by market researcher J.D. Power & Associates. The average price paid at an independent dealer is about 18% less than at a new vehicle dealer, it said.
