Republic Industries, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., said it will acquire CarChoice, operator of used car superstores, for approximately $95 million. Republic previously announced plans to acquire AutoNation USA, which is developing a similar chain. H. Wayne Huizenga, Republic's chairman-CEO, stated, "With CarChoice and AutoNation USA, Republic will become a leading force in the used car industry."
