Carat parent reports strong growth

LONDON--Aegis, the London-based holding company for global media buying and planning specialist Carat, reported pre-tax profit up 19% to $49 million on 73% higher revenues of $299 million for the six months to June 30, 2000. In the first half, the market research and service company reported net new billings of $1.03 billion.
