, the international media buying and planning network, has won its first U.S. media assignment from a client it already serves in Europe. Chicago-based Alberto Culver Co. has moved some 80% of its media business from Lois Chicago, which also handles its creative, to Carat in Europe. The win is estimated at $50 million. Carat North America was established last September. It now claims billings of $700 million and offices in 11 cities with 270 employees.
