Cargill picks Martin/Williams

Cargill, Minneapolis, chose Martin/Williams Advertising, Minneapolis as its AOR for corporate advertising. The company - a multinational marketer of food, agricultural, financial and industrial products - has not had a corporate agency, and the assignment will not affect the advertising relationships of its various units, said Dave Floren CEO of Martin/Williams.

The agency will prepare a corporate campaign for the first quarter of 1999, to create an image reflecting Cargill's global presence, said Mr. Floren; if successful in the U.S., the campaign will expand globally. Billings were not disclosed, but Mr. Floren said the client has made ``a signigicant commitment'' and the budget for the account will be competitive with other global companies'.
