Carnival Cruise consolidates

Carnival Cruise Lines, Miami, named McFarland & Drier, also Miami, for its $20 million print advertising account, from HMK Advertising, Boston. The account had been at HMK for 23 years. The move consolidates all advertising efforts at McFarland, which has handled Carnival's $25 million TV account for 11 years. Along with the account move, McFarland parent Hameroff/Milenthal/Spence, Columbus, Ohio, acquired HMK for an undisclosed sum. HMK principals Harvey Karp and Holly Patmore will remain with the agency.
