Carriers open Web site

The Competitive Long Distance Coalition, an association that represents the interests of more than 500 long distance companies including AT&T Corp., MCI Communications Corp. and Sprint, on Tuesday established a home page on the Internet's World Wide Web. The site, built to rally consumers against passage of the pending telecommunications legislation, includes phone numbers and addresses of key members of Congress, questions often asked of the Coalition, information about current telecommunications legislation pending in Congress and reasons why passing the telecommunications bill would hurt consumers. Husky Labs, Baltimore, created the site.
