Each of the five children will star as an animated cartoon on his or her very own 60-second spot. Each commercial, meanwhile, will feature a 45-second segment of live action depicting the transformation of the childinto animated form.
These cartoons will air on the network as part of its Get Tooned marketinginitiative. The "kid cartoons" are set to air from Jan. 1 and will appear with Dexter, the Powerpuff Girls, Fred Flinstone, Scooby-Doo and other toon stars.
The marketing scheme is being undertaken with Kellogg Co. and isintended to reward cartoon lovers with the ultimate grand prize -- the chance to see themselves as a cartoon on the network.
