Supermarket in-store coupon distributor Catalina Marketing is participating in a four-month marketing study evaluating various advertising/marketing campaigns that will run over wireless appliances in Boulder, Colo. San Mateo, Calif.-based SkyGo, a wireless interactive marketing company, issued more than 1,000 Internet-enabled phones to qualified consumer participants in Boulder. During the study, participants will receive advertising and marketing messages on the phones from local and national advertisers. SkyGo and Catalina will work together to develop and deliver direct wireless marketing campaigns with the objective of attracting new users and increasing usage of ValuPage, the online promotions offering of Catalina's online division, SuperMarkets Online.
