CATHAY PACIFIC EXPANDS CNN DEAL

Airline to Sponsor Network's Asia/Pacific Business Services

HONG KONG (AdAgeGlobal.com) -- Cathay Pacific Airways has expanded its long-standing advertising relationship with AOL Time Warner's CNN International news network.

The current co-branded campaign promotes Cathay's new business-class service.

With the new deal, developed by Cathay's advertising and media agencies, Interpublic Group of Cos.' McCann-Erickson Worldwide and Universal McCann, the Hong Kong-based airline is the first sponsor of CNN Asia/Pacific's business news ticker as well as CNN's first downloadable news ticker available on CNN.com.

The deal also includes 60-second spots, CNN program sponsorship and banners on CNN.com -- marking the first time Cathay Pacific has advertised with CNN online.

As part of the integrated partnership, CNN continues to be the exclusive, English-language, in-flight TV news provider throughout the airline's international routes.
