Ex-CBS exec Ober to Food Network

Former CBS News President Eric Ober was named president-general manager of cable TV's Food Network, New York. Mr. Ober's appointment is part of a management restructuring at the network that had been expected ever since Food Network was purchased by E.W. Scripps Co. last year. Ken Lowe, president-CEO of Scripps' Home & Garden Television network, will also serve as chairman-CEO of Food Network. The two men succeed Erica Gruen, president-CEO of the Food Network for the past two years, who left.
