CBS to fold Web biz into TV divisions

Published on .

As other media companies have done, CBS will fold its Internet businesses into its corresponding TV divisions, but with one exception: It won't lay off any staffers. In a memo to CBS employees, CBS Chairman Leslie Moonves said the network's entertainment Web sites at cbs.com will now report directly to Nancy Tellem, president of CBS Entertainment. Likewise, cbsnews.com will now report to Andrew Heyward, president of CBS News. All CBS Web sites' Internet ad sales activities will report to Joe Abruzzese, president of advertiser sales for CBS Television Network.
