CBS joins AOL

Published on .

CBS will extend its online presence to America Online, the network said Tuesday. The new "CBS on AOL" area, premiering this fall, will provide information tied to CBS TV programming, including "Late Show With David Letterman" and "Late Late Show With Tom Snyder." CBS continues its presence on Prodigy and on the World Wide Web. "Our goal is easy access for all," said George Schweitzer, CBS exec VP-marketing and communications. "Get to CBS, find us, use us, enjoy us. The Web site is kind of the core area, but our goal is to be on all the major services."
