CBS, MediaCom join forces

MediaCom, the worldwide media divison of Grey Advertising, has entered in a partnership with CBS Broadcast International to launch an international media company called EyeVenture Media and Entertainment. Based in New York, Miami, London and Hong Kong, the new venture will be managed by president and CEO William Kunkel, 48, previously senior VP international media sales at CBI. "It's the first thing of its kind," said a spokeswoman at MediaCom, "Combining a network and a media company." EyeVenture will sell CBS programing to international advertisers who can then deliver the shows to other networks and wrap their advertising around it.
