CBS Television has teamed with online classified service Classifieds2000 to offer crossmedia advertising services in local markets. Under the agreement, announced Aug. 27, Classifieds2000 will provide customized online classified advertising content and services to the Web sites of 10 CBS owned-and-operated stations, as well as participating affiliates through the Classifieds2000 Network.
Participating stations will sell additional advertising on the sites and will direct viewers to the new service through crosspromotions, on-air spots and special events. CBS stations in New York, Boston and San Francisco are expected to be among the first to offer the new service to viewers and advertisers.
