CBS suitors await Westinghouse's bid

Likely CBS suitors, including Turner Broadcasting System, Seagram Co. and possibly Time Warner, Viacom and Walt Disney Co., are said to be waiting for Westinghouse to make an offer before deciding whether to up the ante in what is expected to be an intense bidding war. The bidding will test the intangible asset value of CBS, which Wall Street analysts currently say has a book value of about $80 a share, or about what Westinghouse is expected to initially offer. At press time, Westinghouse was completing due diligence of CBS assets in preparation for a cash offer An offer is expected early this week.
