Cegetal stays with Publicis

Published on .

PARIS--After a two month pitch, telecommunications group Cegetel has decided to retain Publicis Conseil on its mobile phone subsidiary SFR. Publicis has handled SFR -- one of its biggest clients at around $83 million -- for five years. Also pitching were Alice, DDB and Euro RSCG BETC, all Paris. With 300,000 subscribers, SFR represents around 40% of the market. It wants to build that number to six million by 2000.
