CEO of DDB Canada to head South America

TORONTO -- Darryl Lindberg, the Canadian chairman and CEO of DDB Group Needham Worldwide Communications Group and president of DDB Canada, based in Toronto, has been named president of DDB South America. The change takes effect October 1, 1996.

Norman Rigg, president and CEO of Anderson Advertising of Toronto and Publicite Anderson of Montreal, part of the DDB Group in Canada, will move up to become chairman and CEO of the DDB Canada Group. DDB Canada executive creative director, Stephen Thursby, will take on the added role of president of DDB Canada in Toronto. Filling in the last opened position is Graham Avery, vice-president and group account director of Anderson Advertising who will become president of Anderson, taking over from Riggs.
