MORGES, Switzerland -- Cereal Partners, the joint venture between U.S. company General Mills and the Swiss Nestle, has appointed Linda Hipkiss Mills as VP-marketing, Cereal Partners Worldwide.

Ms. Hipkiss Mills, currently marketing director of Cereal Partners U.K. and Ireland, will move to the company's European headquarters in Morges, Switzerland, when the move becomes effective September. She has been in the U.K. role for the past four years, overseeing brands such as Shredded Wheat, Shreddies and Cheerios. The company was unable to say by press time whom she will be replacing in Morges.

Previously, Ms. Hipkiss Mills was business development manager for CPW Latin America. Before Cereal Partners was formed in 1989, she worked for five years with General Mills, the $5 billion U.S. food group.

Replacing her in the U.K. and Ireland marketing director role will be Dez Timmiss, who will return from Morges, where he was responsible for CPW's children's brands. He was previously with CP U.K. for five years, most recently as marketing controller, responsible for Shredded Wheat and Shreddies.
