Ceres Brings In Kemnitz for Ad Work

BURNSVILLE, Minn.-Ceres Communications has begun offering advertising services to complement the agency's existing public relations specialty with the hiring of Daniel Kemnitz as VP-advertising.

Mr. Kemnitz, most recently president of the Children's Radio Group, Minneapolis, previously was an executive at Twin Cities ad agencies Bozell and Cuneo & Associates.

Ceres operated as the Ag/Turf division of Mona Meyer McGrath & Gavin, Bloomington, until January, when it was spun off as a wholly owned unit of London-based PR giant Shandwick.

CEO Den Gardner hopes revenue from small to midsize ad clients makes up 25% of Ceres' revenue within a year. Mr. Kemnitz's first-year fee target is $425,000.
