Chairman-CEO of Warner Music let go

Published on .

Warner Music Group, the music division of entertainment giant Time Warner, let go Doug Morris, chairman-CEO of Warner Music's U.S. division. Michael Fuchs, chairman of Warner Music Group, will assume Mr. Morris' duties. Warner Music Group has come under fire recently for its rap music relationships.

"Doug Morris had been heading Warner Music U.S. less than a year," a spokeswoman said. "That year has been characterized by a huge amount of internal strife and fraction. When Michael Fuchs was appointed, it was hoped people could go back to business. But the politics persisted. This isn't about any particular music. this is about focus and leadership and loyalty."
