Name change for Internet group

Published on .

The Internet Advertising Council, which holds its first general meeting on Friday in New York, is already undergoing a name change. The group's new name will be Internet Advertising Bureau, a change apparently made to differentiate from the non-profit Ad Council.

The Internet group, modeled after the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau, seeks to represent sellers of ad space in Internet or online media. For more information on the meeting, call (212) 704-4446 or e-mail IAC@edelman.com.
