Chase, Chemical keep agencies

Chase Manhattan Corp. said McCann-Erickson Worldwide and Wells Rich Greene BDDP, both New York, will serve as principal ad agencies for the bank after it merges with Chemical Banking Corp. March 31. McCann, currently Chemical's lead agency, will handle consumer and small-business advertising, while Chase agency WRG BDDP will handle corporate work aimed at large businesses. The two banks spent about $50 million on advertising in 1995.
