Chase Manhattan Bank signed on for another year as a corporate marketing partner of the Corel WTA Tour, marketed by the Women's Tennis Association. Chase says its new one-year renewal is more expansive in scope than previous partnerships but it wouldn't disclose details. Corel WTA Tour sponsorship, packaged and sold by International Management Group, Cleveland, includes category exclusivity, print and TV units in WTA media, and promotional rights. Chase has committed to leveraging the property year-round. The Corel WTA Tour is performing well; attendance is up 7% from '96, with an all-time record of 3.3 million spectators through 47 events in 1997.
