GREENWICH, Conn.-Chesebrough-Pond's USA's Rave is rolling out Rave MicroSpray hair spray, backed by print advertising. Ads by J. Walter Thompson USA, New York, are running in women's magazines, including Cosmopolitan, Glamour and Marie Claire. With a unique regulating nozzle, MicroSpray disperses "micro droplets" along the hair shaft.

The campaign positions Rave MicroSpray as "a hair spray that responds to consumer needs-softer hair with hold which looks and feels natural, not shellacked.

Other new products:

Shiara is launching Sunset Cafe, its newest fragrance line marketed toward young women, with Cherry Bombe and Terra X as the first scents. This autumn Free Fall and Avalon will be introduced. Ads from Bagby Design, Chicago, will run in June magazines including Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, Mademoiselle, Rolling Stone, InStyle and Fitness. Ads on MTV: Music Television, VH-1: Video Hits One and Fox will run in conjunction with the print campaign this fall.

Aveda Corp. is launching a new suncare system with Sun Source, a botanical self-tanner, and the new Daily Light Guard moisturizing protectant.

Elizabeth Arden Co. is adding to its line of True Love fragrances with the introduction of Perfumed Bath & Shower Gel, Perfumed Body Lotion and Perfumed Shaker Talc. The products retail for $27.50, $37.50 and $21, respectively, backed by cable and network TV and print advertising handled in-house.

Lancome is introducing three products to its summer cosmetics line. Le Crayon Glace, Stylo Sport Lipstick and Poudre Bronzee will join the French company's Summer Sensations line.
