Chevrolet Division's Mideast Region Area Marketing Group, representing dealer associations in 13 markets, assigned its advertising to J.W. Messner Inc., Grand Rapids, Mich.; spending was not disclosed. The Mideast region includes Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee and South Carolina. The General Motors Corp. division is consolidating to larger dealer regions and fewer agencies to unify brand messages. Messner has won six of eight Chevrolet dealer AMGs, representing billings of about $54 million.
