Chevy backs Youth Soccer

General Motors' Chevrolet unit has established a marketing partnership with the U.S. Youth Soccer State Association. Bill Ames, Chevrolet national merchandising manager, said as part of its sponsorship, Chevrolet is designated the "official vehicle" of various state associations. The executive director or coaching coordinator of each participating state association receives a Chevrolet Malibu, Lumina or Venture to attend clinics, tournaments, events and camps. Chevrolet will display vehicles and banners at select events and advertise in state association publications. Chevrolet also serves as the title sponsor for "parent of the year" awards presented by dealer marketing groups.
