Chevy hoists Olympic torch

General Motors Corp.'s Chevrolet division, Detroit, will join Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta, as sponsor of the 2002 Olympic Torch Relay. A convoy of 20 Chevrolet cars and trucks will travel with the Olympic flame across the U.S., starting Dec. 4, 2001, and ending in Salt Lake City for the Olympic Games. BMW of North America was the sponsor of the relay for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
