'Chicago Hope' sparks video

Published on .

This week's broadcast of CBS' "Chicago Hope" has inspired a video rebuttal by Medela Inc., a McHenry, Ill., maker of breastfeeding pumps and other breastfeeding products. In the "Chicago Hope" running Oct. 21, a baby dies of starvation even though the mother had been breastfeeding the infant. Medela has prepared a 2-minute video about the benefits of breastfeeding that it's been pitching to CBS affiliates to show following the episode. A CBS spokeswoman said the network was unaware of the Medela effort.
