New chief of Hachette Filipacchi Asia Pacific sales

HONG KONG -- Hachette Filipacchi Global Advertising, the global sales division of Hachette Filipacchi Medias, has named Melvyn Goh as managing director for Asia Pacific.

Mr. Goh was previously Asia Pacific direc tor for HFGA as well as regional advertising director for Hachette Filipacchi Asia Pacific. Amanda Turnbull-Ashe takes on the regional advertising director role as part of her new regional sales and marketing director post, as reported in the Daily World Wire dated March 17.

Mr. Goh will move to Tokyo, from where he will promote the company's worldwide maga zines to Japanese and Asia Pacific clients. He will focus particularly on magazines published outside of the region, such as the U.S. and European editions of Elle, Paris Match and Car and Driver.

In addition, Mr. Goh will be responsible for the global sales strategy behind Hachette Filipacchi Asia Pacific's custom publications. These now include BMW magazine, Asian Home Gourmet and Air China.

He will report to Bernard Bonnamour, HFGA president, based in Paris. HFGA has inter national sales operations in Europe, the U.S. and Asia, representing the company's 170-plus titles around the world.
