Newly elected Lucky President Du Changtao says Lucky has 24% of the Chinesemarket. The feat is not inconsiderable considering the flood of competitionfrom Japan's Fuji and U.S.-based Eastman Kodak Co., which together selltwo-thirds of all film sold in China, he says.
Amid the competition, Lucky has emerged as the only viable national film andphotographic material manufacturer, according to Mr. Du. Its products areexported to 44 foreign markets. In China, Lucky has 200 outlets.
