Churchs Chicken, a division of AFC Enterprises, Atlanta, tapped Carat North America, New York, to handle media planning and buying, and Cliff Freeman & Partners to handle creative duties for its $15 million account following a two-month review. The entire account had been at Austin Kelley Advertising, Atlanta, for the past 19 months. Finalists for creative duties were Austin Kelley; Lowe & Partners/SMS, New York; and Merkley Newman Harty, New York, in partnership with Bayless Cronin, Atlanta. Western Initiative Media Worldwide, Atlanta, also pitched for the media business. The review was handled in-house.
