OSLO--Tempus Group, the U.K.-based holding company for CIA Media Network, has signed a final agreement to acquire all shares in the Oslo-based media buying company Media Marketing. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Tempus Group signed a letter of intent to acquire Media Marketing in mid 1997. The new company trades as CIA Media Marketing. Shares were bought from Managing Director Roar B. Sletner, who established the company under its former name of Mediaterminalen in 1989.

CIA Media Marketing is Norway's third biggest media buying agency, behind Carat Inter-Media and Synergi Rf. Mr. Sletner will leave the agency and be replaced by Inger Krogh Halvorsen.

At the same time, Tempus has opened talks to acquire the Danish media buying company MediaCentralen, based in Copenhagen. MediaCentralen is controlled by the Danish newspaper and magazines organization Danske Dagblades Forening.

"We are looking to acquire a 51% interest in MediaCentralen. We are hopeful of reaching an agreement," says Dag Ulvegarde, CIA Media Net- work's representative in Scandinavia.
