CIA Medianetwork Singapore wins retail media account

SINGAPORE -- CIA Medianetwork Singapore has picked up the $ 2.4 million media account for retailer Dairy Farm International, whose business encompasses Cold Storage Supermarkets, Guardian Pharmacies and 7-11 stores, following a four-way pitch against MindShare, Dentsu Young & Rubicam and Zenith.

J. Walter Thompson won the creative business for Dairy Farm International in a separate, recent pitch.

Previously, the media business was handled on a brand-by-brand basis with DY&R handling Cold Storage, while Bates had the 7-11 account, and Publicis/Eureka the Guardian brand.

Mark Austin, regional director of CIA in Asia Pacific, says this was the "first genuine `media only' pitch that has been held in Singapore for at least 18 months. As such, we are delighted to have been selected to work with all the prestigious DFI brands, especially against such tough competition."
